Can you believe we’re already two thirds of the way through the year? And it’s almost back-to-school time again?
Hasn’t it just flown by?
I want to ask how 2015 is shaping up for you?
Have you achieved or even surpassed your goals from the beginning of the year? If so, how many?
You see, the thing is, it’s so easy to just carry on living in mediocrity, convincing yourself that it’s ok, it’s not that bad. In my experience mediocrity is the most dangerous place we can exist. The place of settling and not questioning the status quo.
We have been conditioned to believe all the limiting beliefs we have grown up with. These, (very often) toxic beliefs are keeping us playing small so we don’t stand out…so that we don’t shine our light too much… We ‘think’ this playing small, keeps us safe. What it does in reality is keep us stuck, spinning our wheels, as though we’re caught up in our very own Groundhog Day. It stops us from living the life we were born to live….one of joy, love, abundance and expansion.
Is it enough then, for you or do you find yourself saying things like – “It shouldn’t be this hard” or “there has got to be more to life than this”….or even… “is this it?!”
YOU get to choose whether your current reality is the one you want to be experiencing, or not! There comes a time in life where you have to choose to tune into a different frequency, when there’s too much radio static.Choose a different channel…
Ask yourself now then…is it time to break the rules?…Is it time to stop listening to how everyone else thinks you should be living your life and start reconnecting to your own goals and dreams…perhaps buried for some time?
Is it time to wake up to a whole new possibility, a different reality?
Do you want to start making conscious choices about where your life is going rather than being a passive observer and letting life just ‘happen’ to you….and fall victim to your circumstances? Think about who you spend most of your time with, what you watch on TV, what you spend your time ‘doing’ or talking about. What conversations are you engaging in? Are they brilliant, powerful and uplifting? Or are they full of complaints, criticisms, judgments and ‘poor me’?
Just remember that whatever you put your energy into in your thoughts, words and deeds, is what you will attract more of into your life. Energy flows where attention goes.
If your life is not lighting you up in any way – it’s time to change what you are thinking about….it’s time to change who you are be~ing.
Start focusing on what you DO want rather than what you DON’T want and on solutions, not problems…on your lifes’ vision…not all the drama.
It’s time to start cleansing your mind…your stinkin’ thinkin’ and start thinking about this one question…
If you could change anything between now and Dec 31st, what would it be? And what will it take?
Choose to make the the rest of 2015 the best of 2015…and break some rules along the way…if you need some help, thinking out of the box…let me know.
What are you capable of? Whatever it is……choose to make the journey there extraordinary….
As Robert Herrick writes in his poem To The Virgins; To Make Much of Time “Gather thee rosebuds while ye may…” what he’s really saying is Carpe Diem!…Seize The Day!
One of my favourite films of all time, Dead Poets Society features this poem in this incredible clip…here we see leadership at its very finest:
Thank you Robin Williams for making us laugh, for making us cry, for inspiring us and for allowing us to see, that we too can make our very own lives extraordinary.
Carpe Diem. Seize The Day!

He really was the master, wasn’t he? Even if it was scripted for him. Still brilliant !
Yes….he certainly was…such an incredible talent…truly one of a kind! 🙂
